SDL TRADOS STUDIO 2009 / 2011

SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011 is a complex program. In order to use it, you need to understand what steps you have to take to use the program for each particular project.

To begin with, you can subdivide the program in two categories:
a) The FREELANCER version
b) The PROFESSIONAL version

 

The FREELANCER version

If you use the FREELANCER version, you can work as follows:


a) To translate a single document, you should use the “Single document translation process in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011” procedures (see video).

b) To translate a Project including several files, you should use the procedure for “Creating a Project in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011” (see video).
c) To work during the translation, follow the procedures for “Opening a Project for Translation in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011” (see video).

d) To finalize the project, follow the procedures for “Finalizing a project in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011)” (see video).

The PROFESSIONAL version

If you use the PROFESSIONAL version, you can work as follows:


a) Create a Project including one or several files, by following the procedures for “Creating a Project in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011” to be sent out for translation (see video).

b) Then, you should create a Project Package by following the procedures for “Creating a Project Package in SDL Trados Studio 2009 / 2011” (see video).
